How much does a mobile app cost in the UAE for an enterprise?

Ask three agencies what a mobile app costs and you’ll get three different numbers, because the question is usually answered before anyone has written down the scope. For an established business building a customer or staff app in the UAE, the honest starting point is this: a single app for iPhone and Android, with its own admin console, hosting and a store launch, starts from AED 75,000. Everything above that is the price of more users, more systems, or more assurance.

What actually moves the price

Four things decide where a project lands: how many types of user the app serves (a customer app is simpler than one that also needs staff, admin and partner logins), how many existing systems it has to connect to, where it needs to be hosted, and how much assurance the business needs around security and uptime. A loyalty app with one user type on one cloud sits at one end. A staff and customer app tied into a stock system, running across two regions for resilience, sits well past it.

Three starting points

Rather than a single number, three tiers cover most enterprise projects:

  • Launch, from AED 75,000. One app for iPhone and Android, its admin web console, hosting on one cloud, and the App Store and Google Play launch. The right fit for a single, well-defined product with one type of user.
  • Growth, from AED 150,000. Customer and staff apps together, integration with the systems the business already runs, and hosting across more than one region or more than one cloud. This is where most groups and chains land once they need the app to talk to something else.
  • Enterprise, from AED 300,000. Private AI features, on-premise or sovereign hosting, single sign-on, a security review and a service-level agreement. The right tier when data residency, internal policy or a regulator sets the terms.

A separate care plan, from AED 8,000 a month, covers what happens after launch: monitoring, new iOS and Android versions, store-policy changes and support with an agreed response time. Every one of these is a starting point, not a fixed price; the figure that matters is the one you get once the scope is written down.

Why discovery comes before the quote

None of the three tiers above is a quote. They exist so a business can recognise, roughly, where its own idea sits before a conversation starts. The actual number comes out of discovery: two weeks of workshops, user journeys, a prioritised feature list, an integration map and a choice of cloud and data location. That work produces a written scope and an architecture, and the architecture is what gets priced, not a guess made in the first meeting.

This matters more for enterprise buyers than for anyone else, because the cost of guessing wrong compounds. A price quoted before the integrations are known is a price that changes later, usually upward, once the real systems show themselves. Discovery exists to put that risk before the contract, not after it.

Where the time goes

Cost and time move together. A launch-grade app typically takes 14 to 20 weeks from the first workshop to being live on both stores: around two weeks of discovery, two to three of design, eight to twelve of build in two-week sprints, two of testing on real devices, and one to two for store submission and review. A larger, multi-system build extends mainly in the build stage, since more integrations means more sprints, not a different process.

What you should ask for

When you compare quotes, ask what tier they assume, whether the admin console and store launch are included, which cloud the hosting sits on, and what happens once the app is live. A number without those answers isn’t comparable to one that has them, whatever the two figures look like side by side.
